We attended the ASCP Annual Meeting in Boston this year to present some of our projects. I have listed the links to the abstracts below and can also be found on my projects page.
- Adherence to Choosing Wisely Campaign Guidelines at Three Health Systems
- Multi-Health System Comparison of Outpatient Diagnostic Testing for Urinary Tract Infection
- Laboratory Testing Patterns by Day of Hospital Stay for Medical and Surgical Hospitalizations
- Multi-Health System Comparison of Diagnostic Testing in Hospitalized Sepsis Patients

The meeting was held as a hybrid format this year with the option to be in person or participate online. Our team decided to travel to Boston (fully vaccinated of course) to highlight our work and the fellowship. We really enjoyed interacting with everyone that visited our poster and discussing our projects. Of course, we learned a lot as well. Since there were so many educational opportunities, I particularly like that the complete package offered the recordings to be viewed up to 3 months after the meeting. I will definitely need to set aside some time to view those sessions I didn’t get to attend in Boston!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions regarding our projects or if you are interested in any collaborations at your institutions!
Excited for ASCP’s 100 year celebration at #ASCP2022 in Chicago!
